This is a wooden silverware flatware chest box. It is marked by Oneida. The inside is lined with red fabric and yellowing satin trim. The fabric has some discoloration and stains. There are 11 sets of knife loops in the lid which are all intact. The bottom divider and the drawer divider are both secure.
The hinges are in good working order.
The exterior has scuffs and marks consistent with use. The shiny varnish was not applied very well, looks drippy in some places and has peeled off in some places. It features a lid lift and worn peg feet. Without the lift and pull handle, it measures about 16 1/4” x 11 1/2”, and is about 6 1/4” tall.
